In view of the increasing cost of schemes due to non-completion of work in time, Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi has given strict instructions to the officers to complete all the works approved by the Expenditure Finance Committee within the stipulated time frame. Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi has given instructions to the Health Secretary to immediately issue orders for mandatory installation of solar rooftop panels in all the health centers, hospitals and medical colleges of the state. Along with this, the CS has directed the Director General of Education to issue orders today itself to install solar rooftop panels in all the schools and hostels of the state. The Chief Secretary has directed the Health Secretary to deploy adequate doctors in these areas after conducting a maternal death audit in sensitive areas with high maternal mortality rate.
While chairing the meeting of the Expenditure Finance Committee in the Secretariat, Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi has given in-principle and financial approval for construction of parking on the lower ground floor, diagnostic wing on the first and second floor and OT in District Hospital Champawat. In view of the increasing demand for medical facilities in Champawat district, construction of separate parking and administrative wing will free up about 6 rooms in the main building, which will be used for other medical facilities. The hospital can be made more convenient. Apart from this, patients / attendants will get better car parking facilities from the car parking and the current parking space can be used for parking departmental vehicles, ambulances etc.
Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi approved the proposal to upgrade Community Health Center Purola in Uttarkashi district as Sub District Hospital in today’s EFC. CS has given instructions to pay special attention to river protection work in this scheme. Along with this, She gave in-principle and financial approval for the construction work of 50-bedded Critical Care Block in Sub District Hospital Roorkee in Haridwar district, construction work of building/hostel of Rajiv Gandhi Navodaya Vidyalaya, Bageshwar and 50-bedded Sub District Hospital building and residential building in Khanpur of Haridwar district.Secretary Dr. R Rajesh Kumar along with Secretaries, Additional Secretaries and departmental officers of all the concerned departments were present in the meeting.
